Amber Morgan

Amber Morgan is a Sim who lives in Captial City along with her husband Kane Morgan. She is the adoptive mother of Angela Smyth and Lilith Pleasant. She has a grandchild through Angela. Her name is inspired by the names of two real cheer coaches at Port Charlotte High School (which Port Simasota High School is based on), and her appearance is based on coach Whitney at Charlotte High School. (which Charlotte Elementary School is based on).

Early life

Amber was born at Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, SimNation. She was raised Independent Baptist and attended Pensacola Christian Academy as a child/teen, where she excelled academically and was a cheerleader. She enrolled in college courses as a teenager and graduated to become a full-time student at Pensacola Christian College. She was a member of the Blue Crew cheer squad and was quite popular on campus. She also maintained a 4.0 GPA all the way to graduation. She met her husband Kane while attending PCC. He was an aircraft mechanic in the Navy, stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola, and the two met while shopping at a Nookington’s store. No one had ever been as beautiful to him as Amber, so he started going to Eagles basketball games mainly to watch her cheer and to hang out with her. The couple got engaged, and after Amber’s graduation the two got married, and moved into base housing with her husband. Amber was hired as an elementary school teacher at PCA, and she remained there until Kane was recruited into the Navy SEALs, prompting the couple to relocate to Port Simasota where Kane’s SEAL team was based.

Pleasantview

The couple lived on-base at Naval Air Station Port Simasota. Amber was hired by the Department of Defense Education Agency (DoDEA) to serve as a teacher at Fanon:Charlotte Elementary School. The base is immediately across the Peace River from Pleasantview, so the Morgans frequented the various community lots there. She was also hired by the Simasota County School Board to serve as a cheerleading coach at Fanon:Port Simasota High School in Pleasantview, and served as an assistant coach for the Peace River Warriors. The couple joined Fanon:First Baptist Church of Pleasantview and became acquainted with most of the residents of the neighborhood. Amber became acquainted with Angela Pleasant through the Warriors, and the two developed a bond. For things that a typical middle school girl would go to her parents about, Angie frequently went to Amber. Amber thought Angie’s behavior was odd and that it was strange that she had never met Angie’s family when she had met most of the other residents of Pleasantview, but she never had enough evidence for DCF to launch an investigation. When Angie entered high school, she became one of Amber’s freshman cheerleaders, and she finally met Angie’s parents and discovered the existence of Lily. The Pleasants told Amber that Lily was a “problem child.”

Angela got into serious legal trouble towards the end of high school football season, and her parents were charged with child abuse and child neglect as well as other crimes under the RICO act, so Angela and her twin sister became wards of the state. Having known Angela since moving to the area, Amber and her husband petitioned to become the girls’ foster parent and ultimately to adopt the girls. Lilith didn’t like her legal name because her biological father always called her “Lilith the demon child”, so the couple had it legally changed to Lily Morgan, telling her they were confident she would “blossom into something beautiful like an Easter lily”. After being adopted, Lily developed a tight bond with her adoptive parents, her school performance improved dramatically, and she became a cheerleader like her sister. Two weeks prior to Angela’s release from a maximum risk residential program in Taylor (based on Tampa, but is inaccessible in-game), Amber’s husband Kane was made part of a special undercover unit to conduct surveillance on hostile nations, with a home base in Naples, Italy. The girls went to Italy with their new parents and were enrolled in a DoDDS school on-base, but Angela became suicidal due to bullying, and the Morgans did not want to separate the twins, so it was decided to try to return them state side for a better outcome. Hope Children’s Home would not take Angela due to DJJ supervision. The Morgans no longer had a home in Simasota County since they had lived on-base, they could not afford to maintain two households, and even if they could the public school system was going to send Angie to Triad, a second chance school for problem children, so they decided to instead enroll the twins at Simasota Military Academy, a boarding school. After two years in this position, Kane was promoted to drill instructor and returned to Port Simasota.

Capital City

As of 2014, Amber lives in Capital City with her husband, who is now a naval officer. She is a high school teacher employed by Capital City Public Schools. She frequently visits SimNation to see her daughters and her grandchildren, who she loves very dearly.

Amber is currently in beta phase.
