Mandy Wiles

Amanda Wiles, also known as Mandy Wiles, is a Sim in Capital City. Although she hails from a small town in Animal Forest, she is most well known as a character in ‘’Bully’’ also known as ‘’Canis Canem Edit’’. After the events in ‘’Bully’’ she attended Pensacola Christian College where she became best friends with dorm roommates Angela and Lilly Morgan.

Early life

Mandy was born into a poor family in Walnut Grove, Animal Forest, a small town best known as the home of Laura Ingalls that is about 45 minutes away from Smashville, Tom Nook’s hometown. She is a frequent spectator at the Super Smash Brothers competitions in Smashville, but no one ever recognizes her as anyone more than a typical villager. She credits this to her inspiration to become a cheerleader. She was chubby as a child and was frequently picked on, causing her to develop an eating disorder, and which is why she was sent to Bullworth Academy on a scholarship. Her experience as a child is what prompted her to adopt a mean girl attitude at the new school, and to be always desperate for attention and status. She was a church going girl but wasn’t truly saved. She met a boy at church who was homeschooled and played football for a public school and followed him to Pensacola Christian College upon graduation.

Life at PCC

Mandy’s first semester at PCC was rocky at best. Hormones had led her there, and having been a party girl in high school, she didn’t really fit in with the crowd at PCC despite being an Eagles Blue Crew cheerleader. She dreamed of becoming a model, but there is no major in modelling at PCC, so she enrolled in the nursing program because the school required her to declare a major. She was assigned to the same dorm room as Angela and Lilly, whom she initially did not get along with but slowly developed a bond with since they had some things in common (being a cheerleader and being sent to a boarding school). Early on, she received demerits for minor infractions, and faced serious consequences when she tried to kiss her boyfriend, who pushed her away, broke up with her, and reported her to the student court. She was immediately campused and faced shadowing and expulsion.

That evening, Angela and Lilly found her crying in the dorm room, and the two of them comforted her as she explained what had happened, stating that she had made a huge mistake coming to PCC, that she didn’t belong there, and her family was going to be ashamed of her. Although Angela was usually very shy, she opened to Amanda, explaining some of her past mistakes, along with Lilly explaining some of her past mistakes, which led to them talking about their salvation experiences, and ultimately leading Mandy through the Roman’s Road to Salvation (something she had heard in church for years but never took to heart) and her accepting the Lord as her savior. Mandy shared this experience with the student court, and her roommates fought for her. Angela and Lilly are the adopted children of Amber Morgan, who pulls a lot of weight at PCC, so the student court went easier on Mandy than they otherwise would have.

She remained campused for the rest of the semester and was suspended from the Blue Crew, but she was not shadowed or expelled. She stayed out of trouble, changed her major to study to become a nurse, and was allowed to leave campus again and be part of the Blue Crew again the following semester. She became very close friends with Angela and Lilly, developing a friendship that would carry into adulthood. She never forgot what Angela and Lilly did for her and is very defensive of Angela whenever anyone is mean to her.

Mandy patiently and dutifully listening to 10 minutes worth of music-on-hold trying to get Embarq (the telephone company in Pleasantview) to fix the internet at Kane and Amber’s old house

During summer break, Mandy made it a point to reconnect with her high school rival Beatrice and apologize to her. Beatrice was surprised to see her do this, and it turned into an opportunity for Mandy to share the gospel with her and for the two to become friends. Beatrice was a student at Nook University in Capital City, but she travelled to Pensacola each year during spring break to visit Mandy, where she also met Angela and Lilly. Ironically, Mandy’s former enemy ended up being her only friend from Bullworth, as the others either dismissed her saying that she had become a “holy roller” or just didn’t care about her at all. Mandy, Beatrice, Angela, and Lily spent subsequent summer breaks in Kane and Amber’s old house in Pleasantview, which wasn’t the safest of neighborhoods at that point, but they made it through okay.

Mugshot from her beach brawl arrest.

Days after graduation, Mandy was arrested on Pensacola Beach by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office along with Beatrice and Lilly after getting into a fight with a random townie who was harassing Angela, making fun of her as “the girl who was a cheerleader before she stole from Nook Inc” and throwing water balloons at her. The 19 year old University of West SimNation student ended up in the trauma unit of Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital (where Mandy completed her clinicals) as a result. The charges were dropped by the state attorney’s office after the “victim” confessed to being the aggressor and it was determined the girls acted defense of Angela, so the ladies’ career prospects were unaffected, but a bystander videoed the fight and it went viral on YouTube, dubbed the “PCC Eagles brawl.” Mandy became infamous for saying “you don’t seriously think you’re going to win against three cheerleaders and a genius do you?” in the video.

Adulthood

Mandy graduated from PCC and joined the Captial City National Guard as a Nurse Corps Officer, choosing Capital City in order to be close to Lilly and Beatrice. She was activated upon graduation from training, served a year in Afghanistan, then she returned and became an ER nurse at Nook University Hospital, making her an employee of Nook Inc. She maintains friendship with Lilly and Beatrice, both of whom also reside in Capital City, as well as with Angela and Cody, whom she frequently visits in Pleasantview. Despite the distance, she always has Angela’s back, along with Lilly and Beatrice, and they will fly down at the drop of a hat to help Angela and Cody if they need it. She admires Cody and Angela’s nuclear family and hopes to some day get married and have a family of her own. Of course, Cody’s father Don Lothario has tried to flirt with her and dreams of doing woohoo with her (like every other woman he’s encountered), but she is turned off to him.

Mandy is currently in beta phase.
